Turtle

Turtles belong to one of the oldest reptile groups in the world (they date back to the time of dinosaurs!) and have an incredibly long lifespan: the largest species can easily live more than 100 years.

Unfortunately, turtles face a multitude of threats related to humans. Nearly half of the species today are either vulnerable, endangered, or critically endangered.
